Videos can be measured in likes and shares, but the true measure of a video is how it moves hearts to action. That’s what “Meet the CEO” does.
It is a beautifully told story that shows the impact of World Vision’s work. It shows that when you provide a Vision Fund loan, a life changes, a family changes, and a community changes. Because the story is true—the story of Jacqueline—a woman who started with a loan for $100 that bought one sewing machine, and then turned her profits into a thriving business that employs dozens of people—Jacqueline was able to then tell that true story to donors who would come to visit her in Rwanda. She also flew to the United States to tell her story. One couple who met her in the United States, saw the video, heard her speak at a conference, and decided to give $1,000,000 to World Vision that day. They have since given more than $5,000,000 and flown to Rwanda to thank her for changing their lives with her story. Another couple sold their ranch for $12 million and gave the money to World Vision. Their relationship with Jacqueline is part of the reason they invest so much of their money in projects in Rwanda.
That is the power of a well-told story.
